The moulded frames carved with ribbon-tied flowers and leaves. Upholstered in close-nailed tan leather. Note: Price is per pair, three pairs available. Attributed to Pillot of Nimes, France.
Pierre Pillot (Paris 1758-Nîmes 1822) was a master menuisier, a student of Mathieu Bauve, he was active in Nimes between 1780 and 1820.
He is known for the production of mainly seats but also consoles and beds the Neoclassical style.
The museum of Vieux Nîmes has similar seats stamped PILLOT
