Constructed of highly figured English oak, the revolving top is inlaid with a compass-point design to the centre with cross banding and chevron stringing detail. There are two fitted drawers with key and six dummy drawers. The revolving octagonal top is raised on a turned central column above downswept, reeded legs terminating in ball feet. The table has a deep, rich colour and patina and is in good condition, standing well with no wobbles.
